A new feature sprung to my attention this morning whilst browsing the ever changing Facebook.
Facebook is binning boxes on Profiles and Fan Pages as well as the 23rd August change of shrinking FBML to 520px BUT they have added a new feature too – a very helpful feature in my opinion!
Now on Friends Profiles there is a “Like” box on the left hand column under the “Friends” box. It displays the pages your friend likes plus pages you have in common.
I like it and think it will be useful because:
- You can browse through new Pages and Groups you may otherwise have not come across and join them;
- You can find out what pages you have in common;
- Great news for Group and Page owners as it is more accessible for users to find you therefore – more fans!
Don’t worry, as Privacy is always an issue with Facebook you do have the opportunity to change the settings on this feature, simply click on the Pencil Icon to edit and scroll down to the last option on Privacy Settings “See my Interests and Other Pages”.
What do you think? 😉
